Louis Livers founded Livers Construction Inc. (LCI) in 1990 at a time when the Office of Housing & Urban Affairs (OHUA) of the City of New Orleans was in grave need of residential rehabilitation contractors. The city had a large supply of blighted homes, yet not enough qualified contractors.
After early years of success in the single family residential market, LCI expanded its business plan to include multifamily properties, successfully completing a three-story 18 unit dormitory project for one of the most prestigious universities in New Orleans. Through diligent work and extensive planning, a four-month project was completed in only two months.
Recognizing further growth potential, LCI entered the commercial construction sector, beating out the competition for an 18,000 square foot interior buildout project for a renowned New Orleans institution. The project was completed on-time and within budget.
Louis has successfully fostered alliances throughout the Gulf-South with some of the region’s largest contractors. Aided by the Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) goals LCI has become a leading figure in the CMAR delivery method with over $20 million completed CMAR projects in the Louisiana Market.
